Everything is coming to life and vines and trees are beginning to spring into action, after their slightly prolonged winter rest. Below is a picture taken last Thursday of me and our almond consultant Stephan Le Roux.
Life on the farm has suddenly got busy and Coman, with the help of his son, was catching up on Saturday morning.
In the cellar, Matthew and Emile have been working on some red blends. Trying to get a blend just right takes time and experience.
The Bowwood Pinotage was up for a prize in the Absa Top 10 Pinotage Competition. Absa sent along some special guests to try the wine and celebrate Woman’s month and Pinotage. Here is Matthew with celebrity interviewers and actresses, Esther Von Waltsleben and Leatitia Solomons.
It has also been getting much busier in the tasting room, as people are keen to get out and about after lockdown restrictions have been partially lifted. Below are some delicious platters expertly prepared by Hilani and Molla to accompany our wines.
Also, Hilani went over to the accounts office next door to the tasting room and got acquainted with Fred’s snake Mikey.
Finally, we would like to wish our lovely Tasting Room and Wedding Manager, Zeldi Du Plessis a speedy recovery after her operation recently. “Recover quickly Zeldi, we can’t wait to have you back strong and well”.
