Happy new year. May 2022 be a bit better than 2021!
We all had a great festive season here and the Vondeling Christmas staff party was a wonderful occasion.
Meanwhile, in the vineyards, the crop is looking fantastic. However, due to the cool spring, I think we will start picking about 2 weeks late
(depending on weather conditions going forward) and probably start with chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc the first week in February.
There is much activity going on at our premium production cellar and barrel maturation cellar.
We are throwing a new slab, getting ready to bottle on 23rd Jan, and filtering Babiana and Chardonnay 2021.
The last of our single edition Vondeling caps to celebrate the Springboks victory in the 2019 rugby World cup in Japan was sold.
Finally, we had a couple of wonderful weddings here just before Christmas.
