Everything is growing like mad. The vines have finished flowering, to be replaced by small green bunches, and the young almond trees are full of nuts, even though they are barely 3 years old.
The 2023 Platter Wine Guide ratings are about to be released and our wines did extremely well. Watch this space next month for ratings. Also, our 2019 Barrel Selection Cabernet Sauvignon did fantastically well in a recent Winemag tasting. Below are our winemakers Matthew and Emile celebrating at the award ceremony in Cape Town.
Meanwhile in the London Sunday Times this month, our Vondeling Philosophie 2016 got a fabulous recommendation from their top wine critic Jane MacQuitty (MW).
Your Content Goes HereAlso this month, Sandi Le Feuvre joined the Vondeling team. Sandi has been appointed our Vondeling Ambassador for Johannesburg and we are very excited about her appointment!
I have been traveling a bit in the last couple of weeks and exhibited our wines in Dublin and Vienna, where we have been looking for importers. It rained a lot!

After a long day at the wine exhibition, it was nice to sample a pint of the local stuff.
I am delighted to report that our lovely Lindsay (my PA of 11 years and Vondeling Admin Manager) had a delightful baby girl last week Friday. A little sister for Cameron and a daughter for Christopher below!
